Conficker – Why all the Fuss ?

confickerOne of the most widespread malware programs, the internet worm was estimated to have infected millions of computers connected to the internet and that doesn’t count dial-up connections for they are so slow they cannot be canvassed properly. People have been hearing of such malware for many year now and they have also seen the amount of damage it can do to computer systems, from wiping whole hard disks, corrupting files and many more unspoken problems that is known only to it’s maker.
The confiker worm is a dangerous fir it has several pathways in terms of ports it can use to contact it’s maker. There are also concerns with code morphing and knowledge of many Windows vulnerabilities as well as those of many other operating systems that use standardized code and resources. The danger is that there are in fact millions of other computers that remain unprotected, some of them using slower internet connections that even a widespread elimination campaign cannot reach, to wreak havoc in another day when complacency sets in and the slow computer finally gets connected to high speed internet access.
